Adam at 2 years old

Here are a few pictures of Adam from the last year. The 2nd year of a child's life sees so many changes; developmentally, emotionally and socially. Adam has grown so much this year.

Adam feels the Canadian love on Canada Day 2009.
Adam moved from a rear facing car seat to a forward facing car seat in the fall.

Adam takes Ryan for a spin on the merry-go-round at Wysuk Park- April 2010
Adam becomes a big brother- March 2010

At 2, Adam can now run, jump, and talk almost as well as his older brother. He is now an older brother himself, and it is very easy to forget that he is only 2 and a toddler, not 4 and a pre-schooler like Ryan. Adam is almost as tall as Ryan and weighs almost the same also. Adam had his first haircut in the fall, but we didn't cut his hair very much, just trimmed a couple of stray hairsat the back and around his face and ears.
In addition to moving to a forward facing car seat, Adam now sleeps in a big boy bed in the room he shares with Ryan. He is begining to show signs of possibly wanting to potty train and I am hoping to tackle that this summer. Adam has most of his teeth now and brushes them everynight with a Thomas the train toothbrush just like Ryan.
Here are some pictures from Adam's 2nd birthday festivities. My mom was able to be here with us- which was very nice.

Another guest- Janie
And another guest- this time Maddison

It was a great celebration for a wonderful little boy full of energy and love.

Angel Pictures part 2

When we picked up our Angel Pictures this year, one of them wasn't ready for pick up. We have it now, and here is possibly the best shot of the two of them together.

Our Angels

Photography by Images Studios of Cold Lake

This is the third year we've done Angel portraits with Images. They take their session fee (which they made per child this year-not that I mind...)and donate to Santa's Anonymous which is a good cause and I like knowing I am contributing to making Christmas a little nicer for some other children. Purchasing the pictures themselves is not economically friendly but I can appreciate the true talent it takes to get such wonderful photos and they do not make it easy to whittle down your choices. I am sure they took over 100 photos of the boys. I think I was given 75 or so to begin with and after much deliberation, I whittled the choices down to 13- 5of each boy and 3 of the two of them together. We are still waiting for one of the pictures of the two boys together to arrive, but here are the rest.

Little Angels

Images Studios (a local photo studio) does a special every year at Christmas that they call "Angels". The studio reduces their sitting fee and donates it to Santa's Anonymous. Ryan's first Christmas, I took him to have these pictures done and I surprised Brad with the photos for his office. Last year I didn't do them but I decided to do them again this year with both Ryan and Adam. Unfortunately Ryan was not cooperative and would not take a picture alone. The photographer did manage to snap a couple of great shots of my two boys together. As for Adam, he was his usual smiley, happy self and there were many photos to choose from.

Here are the photos I choose of Ryan two years ago:

And here are the photos of Adam and Ryan from this year:

I would just like to thank Images Studios for doing this and always capturing such amazing photos.
